Awaken  (Historical non-fiction)    Once upon a time, thousands of years ago, there was an area of land with a family settled there. There was a man, strong in a fresh world, and his wife with a son soon to come. The family needed food to survive, as all humans do. So the father went outside their hut and came to a land worked many times by his father and his fathers before him. He plowed it with his own made tools, and sowed it with precious seed gathered carefully from plants in the surrounding region. He worked long and hard until he had plowed and sowed a full days work, about half an acre. With an hour until sundown he drew back from the field, and coming to a large boulder he sat down and looked over the field and the land beyond.    As he sat there he pondered the meaning of life (for there wasn't much else to think about in a fresh, new world).
